To create an account on Amazon, review the required information below and then proceed to fill out the registration form. The review process takes about three business days (approximately) after you provide the information.

Confirm the following before submitting
- The name on your ID matches the information you registered for Seller Central
- The ID contains a photo of your face
- The ID is valid
- Submit a scanned image of the original or a photo taken by a smartphone, etc.
- Screenshots (screen captures) are not accepted for reviews.
- Images or PDF data should be in color (black and white items are not accepted for reviews)
- Accepted file formats: *.png, *.tiff, *.tif, *.jpg, *.jpeg, *.pdf.
- No emojis or special symbols (e.g. $, &, #) can be used in the file name
When a passport is used
- Prepare a photo of the photo page taken with a smartphone, mobile phone, or digital camera, or a scan of the original.
- Be sure to include the signature on your passport.
When a driver's license is used
- Prepare images of both sides of the card taken with a smartphone, mobile phone, or digital camera, or scans of the card.

Confirm the following before submitting
- Screenshots (screen capture) and photos taken of a screen are not valid.
- It should be possible to confirm your name, billing address, and bank information (or credit card company information)
- It should be possible to confirm the issued date or transaction history page
- Photos or scans of credit cards or cash cards are not valid
- Do not protect submissions with a password
- Accepted file formats: *.png, *.tiff, *.tif, *.jpg, *.jpeg, *.pdf.
- No emojis or special symbols (e.g. $, &, #) can be used in the file name
- Precautions may differ according to the documents you submit, so be sure to confirm the following.
When submitting a credit card statement
- If you have a credit card statement that you received by postal mail: Submit an image file taken with a smartphone, mobile phone, or digital camera, or scanned data.
- When submitting a web usage statement: Only usage statements that can be downloaded in PDF format. Keep in mind that statements in CSV format / Excel are not accepted for reviews. Screenshots (screen captures) of credit card statements displayed on a computer or smartphone screen and photos taken of a screen are not valid.
When submitting an Internet banking transaction statement (PDF)
- Download your transaction statement in PDF format for confirming your transaction history over the last 180 days and submit it.
- Transaction statements in CSV format / Excel are not accepted for reviews.
* The name of the document and whether it can be downloaded in PDF format differs according to the financial institution, so if it is difficult for you to prepare these, consider other options (such as a credit card statement, bankbook, etc).
When submitting a bankbook
- Submit an image file taken with a smartphone, mobile phone, or digital camera, or scanned images of the page where it is possible to confirm the last transaction within the last 180 days + a page showing your name (your name is usually shown on the cover or on the next page).

For whom should identification be provided?
Submit identification documents for the business operator or representative, the operating officer, or the applicant registered on Seller Central.
What is the relationship between the country of residence and the documents I submit?
Your country of residence must be the same as the country that issued the submitted documents. For example, if you select “Japan” as your country of residence, you will need to submit a Japanese passport.
Are submission documents limited to Japan?
No, your passport must be from the same country as your country of residence. Documents other than your passport must be in one of the following languages: Chinese, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, or Spanish. For other languages, you need to submit a notarized translation in one of the above languages.
Are utility bill statements acceptable for review?
No, utility bill statements are not accepted for reviews.
* Can I use my Individual Number (My Number) card for the review?
No, Individual Number (My Number) cards are not accepted for reviews.
Can I resubmit a document if there is a mistake with the document?
Yes, it is possible. In that case, you need to resubmit all documents (copy of a photo ID + transaction statement (two total)) including appropriate documents.
