Can I list D2C brands on Amazon?
Yes. D2C (Direct-to-Consumer) is a business model where a manufacturer sells products that are planned and manufactured in-house directly to consumers without going through an intermediary. On Amazon, even sellers who don’t have their own EC site can start listing as a D2C brand. Being able to convey your brand’s worldview while leveraging Amazon’s ability to attract customers is a major benefit. For more information on how to get started with D2C, as well as its advantages and disadvantages, please see the article What Is D2C? Differences from B2C, Advantages, Disadvantages, and Successful Examples.
Step 2: List your products
How to List Products
To start selling a product on Amazon, you’ll create a product listing in Seller Central (or via API).
If another seller already offers the same product, you’ll match an existing listing (which means some details will already be in place, like the product identifier). If you’re the first seller to offer a product, you’ll create a new listing.

FAQs
What is an ASIN?
Every product offered for sale on Amazon gets an automatically generated ASIN (Amazon Standard Identification Number). However, GTIN and SKUs are not automatically generated. Multiple sellers may offer the same ASIN when listing the same product. ASINs can be found on Amazon’s product page under “Product Information,” or through Seller Central.
What happens if I sell the same product as another seller?
Amazon has a one page per product rule. If you are listing a product that is already being sold by another seller, you add your own offer (such as the price and shipping terms) to the same product page. Buyers can choose which sellers to buy from by comparing conditions from multiple sellers. Please check the “Amazon Listing Registration Manual” for details on product listing procedures.
Step 3: Decide how to display and price your products
Set competitive pricing
Price is an important factor in a buyer’s decision. Seller Central offers an automated pricing tool. You can also set promotions, deals, and points. Take advantage of these features and set attractive prices for buyers.
Create comprehensive product detail pages
Your offer details will be displayed on a product detail page. If you’ve ever shopped on Amazon, you’ve seen one. Product detail pages are where customers find all of the relevant information about a particular item.
When multiple sellers offer the same product, Amazon combines data from those various offers on a single detail page. Sellers who offer the product can contribute to detail page information - or request detail page reviews if the information displayed is incorrect.
If you sell your products under a registered trademark, consider enrolling in Amazon Brand Registry. Amazon Brand Registry is a free service that gives you increased control over product detail pages that use your brand name.

FAQs
What is a Featured Offer?
The Featured Offer appears on a product detail page where customers can immediately begin the purchase process by adding items to their shopping carts.
A key feature of the Amazon website is that the same product can have multiple offers from multiple sellers. If more than one seller eligible to sell a product offers that product, they may compete for the Featured Offer (provided they can ship to the buyer’s address).
In order for sellers to achieve the highest possible level of satisfaction from buyers, they must meet performance-based requirements and be eligible to compete to be listed as Featured Offers. For sellers, being listed as a Featured Offer can lead to increased sales.

How can I create variations?
Variations of the same product, such as different colors and sizes, can be registered together on one product detail page. Buyers can switch between options and compare them on the page, so reviews are also aggregated on a single page. There are two ways to register: create listings using the blank form in Seller Central or register them in bulk using a spreadsheet. For detailed instructions, see the “Creating and Managing Product Variations” help page.
Step 4: Choose a shipping method
Provide fast shipping
You can get the Amazon Prime badge by using Fulfillment By Amazon (FBA) to ship products from one of our fulfillment centers.
FAQs
What is Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA)?
Fulfillment By Amazon (FBA) is a service that helps businesses grow by providing access to Amazon's logistics network. Businesses send products to Amazon fulfillment centers and when a customer makes a purchase, we handle receiving, packing, shipping, customer service, and returns for those orders.
What are the costs of using FBA?
The two main costs are shipping fees and inventory storage fees, but they are not limited to this. Please refer to this article for details on fees. Delivery fees are charged every time a product is sold, depending on size and weight. The inventory storage fee is a monthly fee calculated on a daily basis according to storage volume. Use the Fulfillment By Amazon Revenue Calculator on Seller Central to estimate your FBA fees.
Step 5: Promote and advertise products
Advertise your offers
Advertise in search results and on product pages. Help improve visibility of individual products and boost brand awareness. Running a deal or a coupon is another way to promote your products.

FAQs
How do I start using Amazon Ads?
Getting started with Amazon Ads is easy. Sign up as an advertiser and follow the on-screen instructions to create your first campaign. We recommend starting with Sponsored Ads that appear in high-visibility slots across Amazon. These ads are self-service. There are no upfront costs and you can set up an ad in just a few minutes.
Step 6: Grow your business
Get customer reviews
Customer product reviews benefit customers and sellers. There right and wrong ways to get more product reviews. Also, avoid policy violations.
Check sales performance metrics
Amazon sellers operate at a high standard so we can provide a seamless, delightful shopping experience. We call it being customer-obsessed, and as an Amazon seller it means keeping an eye on these key metrics:
- Order defect rate (a measure of a seller’s customer service standards): < 1%
- Pre-fulfillment cancel rate (initiated by the seller before shipment): < 2.5%
- Late shipment rate (orders that ship after the expected date): < 4%
You can keep tabs on your performance and make sure you’re meeting your targets in Seller Central.
