Registering an Amazon Seller Account
See the procedure for registering a new seller account. Before you begin registeration for an Amazon seller account, please prepare the necessary information and documents, and then follow the steps.

Before you start
Prepare identity verification documents
Before you start registering for a seller account, make sure you have the following:
- Photo ID issued by a government agency (such as a passport or driver's license)
- Statement issued within the last 180 days (such as a bill for gas, electricity, or water)
- Business email address or existing Amazon customer account
- Phone number
- Chargeable credit card
- A bank account where Amazon can send you proceeds from your sales
Register your account
Create an Amazon account for selling
If you do not have an Amazon seller account, click the Start Selling button below and follow the guidelines below to create a seller account.
If you have an Amazon account for selling, click Login to Seller Central.

Enter the confirmation code
If you do not already have a seller account, click Create Amazon Account and enter the required information.
A confirmation code will be sent to your registered e-mail address. Please enter that code.

Select a business type
Select an appropriate item.

Individual → Individuals and sole proprietors

For corporations
* If you are a sole proprietor, proceed to the next step.
1. Enter your business information
Prepare a copy of the company register and enter the required information.
* The phone number for confirmation can be your personal phone number that you are using instead of the registered company phone number.

* Enter the name of the person in charge, which is the same person who will be verified.

2. Enter your seller information
Select and enter the required information.
* When you select a nationality, items for proof of identity will be displayed.
* Select Passport or Driver's license as proof of identity.
* The name on the national ID must be the name on the ID you selected. It can only be entered in Japanese.

3. Enter your credit card information
Enter your credit card information.
* A monthly Selling on Amazon subscription fee will be charged to your registered credit card.
* If sales exceeding the monthly subscription fee are accrued, the disbursement will be offset.
* When you register for an Amazon selling account, we automatically create linked accounts that give you access to sell in Australia, Japan, Singapore, United Arab Emirates, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, North American, and European stores. If you are selling in one store, then you will be charged only for that store. You can close or downgrade your account(s) using the self-service tool on Seller Central after registration.
* A monthly Selling on Amazon subscription fee will be charged to your registered credit card.

After you finish uploading all documents, press Send to complete the procedure.
You will be informed of the results of the review by email in about three business days.

For sole proprietors
